Hide and Smash gameplay
In Hide and Smash, your role is determined by a spin of luck: Become the hider or become the seeker with a giant hammer. Each role has its own tasks:
- Hiders: If you are the hider, you have two important tasks: Survive the pursuers and collect the golden keys. You only achieve victory by surviving until the end and finding all the keys.
- Seekers: Also known as the smasher. These smasher characters cannot see the hiders and will wander around, smashing things and preventing the hiders from finding the keys. The number of seekers is always less than the number of hiders.
Controls
- Click LMB to start the spin and determine your role.
- Press the WASD/arrow key or hold down LMB to move the character.
- Release the key to stop the character and camouflage it as a normal object if you are the hider, or release the key to swing the hammer if you are the seeker.
Hide and Smash Gameplay Strategy
As the Hider:
- Collect the keys as quickly as possible: You only win when you find all the keys. Run and try to collect the golden keys as fast as you can.
- Don't let yourself fall into the smashers' search area: Each smasher has red circles around them, marking their search area. Don't let your character fall into these red circles. It's very dangerous.
- Camouflage: Hiders can camouflage themselves as an object such as a stack of books, a chess piece, a mushroom, etc. When you spot smashers approaching, stand still and camouflage yourself as a normal object.
- Avoid colliding with other objects: Because they can reveal your location. Dodge objects to make it harder for the smashers to spot you.
As the Seeker:
- Smash any object: The hiders can camouflage themselves as any object. So, don't hesitate to smash everything in your path.
- Watch the keys: Seekers just can't see hiders. That means you can still see the golden keys and other objects. A key disappearing naturally means there's at least one hider nearby. Catch him immediately.
- Attack where objects are moved: Sometimes hiders collide with objects, causing them to shift. That's your chance: Run there quickly and smash everything around.
