How to Play Threes
Gameplay
The main objective of Threes is to get the highest possible number. You earn points by merging tiles on a 4x4 grid. These are rules for merging:
- The tiles 1 and 2: You can only merge a 1 with a 2. Together, they create a white tile with the number 3.
- The twins tiles: For numbers 3 and higher, the rules change. These tiles only merge with their twins. This means a 3 only merges with another 3 to make a 6. A 6 merges with a 6 to make a 12, and so on.
- The grid: Every time you move, a new tile enters the board. The game ends when the grid is full, and no more moves are possible.
Controls
- On PC: Use the arrow keys on your keyboard to slide all tiles at once.
- On Mobile: Simply swipe in the direction you want the tiles to move.
Rank Yourself on the Leaderboard
Do you have what it takes to be the best? The game features a global leaderboard. You can compare your score with players from all over the world. The ranking system tracks scores for Today, 7 Days, 30 Days, and All Time. Currently, the person with the highest score on the Threes rankings is more than 88,000 points. Try to beat your personal best and see your name at the top!
