Bloxorz
Bloxorz challenges your puzzle skills! Roll the block, activate switches, avoid traps, and carefully navigate each tricky level to reach the goal.
Overview of Bloxorz
Bloxorz is a classic puzzle game that has captivated players for over a decade, combining easy-to-learn controls with challenging levels. The game was developed by Damien Clarke and released on August 22, 2007.
How to Play Bloxorz
Your goal is to move a rectangular block across a level and drop it into a square hole at the end. The Bloxorz block measures 2 squares in length and 1 square in width. Each level consists of 1x1 square tiles connected together, forming a floating platform.
Basic Controls
- On a computer or laptop: Arrow keys are used to move the block in different directions. The left and right arrows roll the block sideways along its y-axis, while the up and down arrows flip the block vertically along its x-axis.
- On mobile devices: On-screen arrow keys appear, which function the same way as on a computer.
Bloxorz Tips
Your block occupies three square units on the floor. Plan and align your moves carefully to make sure the block fits into the square hole. Orange tiles are special: they will disappear if you stand upright on them, causing the block to fall into empty space.
Types of Switches:
- Soft Switches: Can be pressed by any part of the block.
- Hard Switches: Require more pressure and can only be activated when the block is standing upright. Both types of switches create bridges between disconnected sections of the platform.
Bracket Buttons:
These split the block into two 1x1 cubes. From that point on, you can only control one cube at a time, switching between them using the spacebar. To recombine them, place the two cubes next to each other. Note that these cubes cannot activate hard switches, so careful planning is crucial to decide the best moment to split the block.
