Who is Jjaemu?
Jjaemu is the name of the orange cat in this mini-game created by Byeori (aka @artbyeori), a Korean game developer. It's also the name of the developer's real-life cat. In the game, Jjaemu always has its back to you and often suddenly turns around to check what you're doing. Its grumpy expression always amuses players and makes them curious to continue playing with its fur.
Don't make Jjaemu angry!
This is the survival mission in Brush Jjaemu. The game simulates the seemingly ordinary act of grooming a cat, but with added dramatic and surprising elements.
- Mission: Groom Jjaemu to earn points. The more you groom, the higher your score.
- Stop grooming: Only groom Jjaemu when it is still facing away from you. Stop grooming before it turns around and makes a grumpy face at you. That's a sign Jjaemu is about to get angry.
- Jjaemu attacks: If you continue grooming it when it turns around, Jjaemu won't like it. It will open its mouth with its sharp teeth and give you a bite with an unpleasant growl.

- Don't brush too fast: Getting too engrossed in brushing Jjaemu's fur can leave you unable to stop in time when this grumpy little creature turns around.
- Watch the cat's expressions and movements: Focus on observing the cat and immediately stop when it turns around and starts staring at you. Only continue when it has turned its head away. In my experience, even when Jjaemu has turned its head away, don't continue brushing it quickly because sometimes it will turn around unexpectedly, just a few seconds after the previous turn.
