Become a Professional Racer in Highway Racer 2
Highway Racer 2 is a high-speed racing game set on busy highways. Instead of racing in laps like Car Racer, your goal is to drive as far as possible without colliding with other vehicles.
The scoring system is based on risk level, similar to Racing Limits. You'll get more points for overtaking at very close distances or driving against the flow of traffic. However, the higher the risk, the greater the chance of a collision.
What is your mission in Highway Racer 2?
In Highway Racer 2, your main objective is to travel as far as you can without crashing into other vehicles or obstacles. There is no finish line - the run only ends when you lose control or make a mistake.
If you want to achieve a high score, remember to:
- Pay close attention to the traffic and avoid hitting the cars ahead
- Keep your vehicle balanced and under control, particularly when driving at high speed
- Overtake other cars closely to gain extra points
- Gather coins to improve your car and unlock new models
- The longer you survive and the smarter you drive, the higher your score will be.
Scores increase based on distance traveled and the level of risk taken while overtaking. The longer you drive and the better you handle situations, the higher your score.
Basic Controls
- Steer the car with the arrow keys or press W, A, S, and D to guide its movement.
- Click the left mouse button to interact with menus and in-game buttons.
- Left Shift key to activate acceleration.
- Space key to use the parking brake.
- Press 'C' key to change the camera angle in the game.
- Left/right mouse buttons to change lanes and dodge vehicles in front.
- Keep the steering wheel steady at high speeds.
- Press the accelerator to reach maximum speed.
- The higher the speed, the faster the score increases.
- However, driving too fast makes it difficult to handle heavy traffic.
- Actively slow down if there is too much traffic ahead.
- Don't attempt to overtake when the gap is too narrow.
